Irene Smirnova is a Canadian artist and a writer, author of "Iriada Tales: poetry collection".

Connecting art, technology and poetry is behind the creative projects that Irene is currently working on.

Irene has studied literature, journalism in Moscow State University in the 80s, arts, animation and design for visual effects in Nad Center in Montreal later in the 90s when she moved to Canada.
She was working as a traditional and digital artist for many years and has contributed to numerous film projects, including awards winning.

Her art explores latest digital tools and platforms. Traditional techniques make a foundation for Irene's artwork and she loves to mix the new and old techniques, using charcoal, oils, wax and raisin in painting, 3D software packages like Autodesk Maya, Blender and rendering engine Arnold, 2d painting packages of Adobe, Procreate and many others.
