Irene Smirnova is a Canadian artist and a writer. Irene has studied animation and design for  visual effects in Nad Center in Montreal in the 90s and was working as digital artist for many years. Irene has contributed to numerous film projects, including Emmy nominated.

Her art explores latest digital tools and platforms. Traditional techniques make a foundation for Irene's artwork and she loves to mix the new and old techniques, using charcoal, oils, wax and raisin in painting, 3D software packages like Autodesk Maya and rendering engine Arnold, 2d painting packages of Adobe and many others.
