Irene Smirnova is a Canadian artist and a writer, author of "Iriada Tales: poetry collection".

​

Connecting art, mathematics, technology and poetry is behind the creative projects that Irene is currently working on. It explores the concepts of philosophy of Phenomenology, linking ideas of Aristotle, Leibniz, Husserl, Merleau-Ponty, D'Arcy Thompson.

She was working as a traditional and digital artist for many years and has  contributed to numerous film projects, including awards winning.

Irene uses latest digital tools and platforms. Traditional techniques make a foundation for Irene's artwork and she masters charcoal, oils, wax and raisin in painting, embroidery, 3d printing, also using multiple 2d and 3D software packages.
